Balancer for Milgard window

Home Owner from California
I need to replace a balancer for a Milgard window (Installed in 2002). The part is marked 29 4 DV CMC 7 (see attached photo). I have also attached pictures of the two ends of the balancer and the length of it. The metal groove is 0.5 in and the length of the metal part is almost 30 inches. Not sure why the marking said 29. Also there is no indication of the weigh of the sash which is about 27 in x 31 in. Not sure how heavy it is with glass. Is it better to order a balancer of a heavier weight rating for durability? Can you help me to identify the correct part for a replacement balancer? Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks much.

Take a look at our S385-30 channel balance, I think this will work well as a replacement.

You should go with our 2940 option, based on your old stamp. You don't want a spring that's stronger than your sash weight or else you'll have trouble closing your window, or worse, it will drift up after you close it. You can refer to the weight rating chart on our S385-30 store page to confirm that the 2940 is best for your sash weight.
