Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you are looking to replace spiral balances as well as another type of balance system. To identify the correct replacements for both of them, I'll need a bit more information.

In regard to the squared balances, I'll need to see a photo of that hardware removed from the window. I am looking to see any attachments that might be connected to the window or that may be left behind in the window channel.

If you are unsure of how to remove the hardware, I am happy to try to provide you with instructions, however I'll need to see photos of the part installed in the window, at the very least. It would also help to know if the balances you are replacing are for non-tilt windows or tilt windows.
