I have a 2032 Hi Perf Narrowline (double pane)bought in 1989 that has both lower casement balancers locked (can't move the cords).
The house is under contract and do to close on 12 July. I am traveling until 26 Jun and wanted to tackle the problem when I returned home. I had just replaced the upper sash but didn't bother with the balancer at the time as I didn't know how to get to it. I do now thanks to your video.
Is there any way to identify the correct replacement before I return home and pull the window apart? I'm trying to save time as I will have other things to do when I return.

Thanks for posting! I'm glad our video helped you. Unfortunately, the only reliable way we can identify your Andersen balance is by knowing the stamps that are printed off the box. Through any other method, it would pretty much just be guess work.

OK...I'm back after a 3 week trip.
Here are the stamps I can find for my 2032 Andersen window balance.
Bottom-11600-17
Top (embedded in the frame)-11600-3
On the staple tab-519 1 j52 8 89
What do I need for a replacement?
Thanks

Hey, good to see you again! I hope you had a good trip.
Now, the stamp we want is definitely the one on the tab. I think maybe you want the 24-531, which can replace balance boxes with the stamp 519.
