Spiral Balance Help

Question

I need balances at 28" long to supports wood sah with attached storm panels weiging about 40-45 lbs
The plastic/steel reinforced balances that we removed were 9/16"
dia
Please advise. They need to be heavy duty.

I'm wondering if you need something like our S500-28, which is commonly used with older wood windows; but it would be best to see the balance to confirm. This spiral balance can support window sashes that weigh upwards of 40 lbs, but it would best to weigh your sash to get the exact weight to be safe here.
