Balances

Question

These balances haven't any u-shaped coverings that conceal the spring and other operating mechanisms. I also haven't seen this design on the website. Maybe they're obsolete and you have a new design? Thanks in advance.

You are correct that this is an old-style rod balance that is no longer made. The good news is that we sell modern channel balances that can replace them with little issue, as you suspected.

To proceed, we'll need to see an undamaged version of your balance removed from one of the windows to confirm the correct replacement. Thank you!
