I also need a set of balances for a single pane single hung window 31 1/2" height, 45 1/2" width can't see the actual balnce of this window without taking the window apart. looks the same as the 23 5 AX CMC 1 but I am sure it is a different size.

Hello there. I am confident we can help, but those stamps aren't identifiers. They just denote the balance's strength. We will need you to remove the balances and send us photos of the stamps and also the nylon attachments on both ends. The style of attachments determines the balances you need.

Thanks for these photos. This looks like an S395-24 Channel Balance. For a stamp option choose 2350.

I am afraid we can't narrow down the other balance based on the window dimensions. If you can tell us the height of the visible glass in the window, and also the exact weight of the window sash, we may be able to narrow it down--but ultimately, showing us the end attachments and the stamp code on this other set is the most reliable way to go. If you can do that we'd be happy to help further.

If the end fittings are identical to the balance posted above, see the S395-30 (2940) balance. If not, we'll need to see photos of both end fittings to compare to our inventory.

Unfortunately, we do not carry a suitable replacement for the glazing bead shown in your photos. I'm sorry we won't be able to assist with this part of your repair, but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
