Balances and Related Parts for Old Windows

Assuming that you don't sell the parts for this type of balance system, are there any balances / parts that you do sell that I could use for this window? In particular, I am looking to replace the balances for the bottom sash of this window. I can raise the sash with a little effort, but to fully lower the sash, I need to use a mallet hammer.

The bottom sash is about 29.60 in (width) x 18.75 in (height). The height from the bottom of the bottom sash (when closed) to the head jamb is about 35.50 in. The house that contains this window was built in around 1935.

Hello,

We do not carry exact replacements for your old style hardware but take a look at the 5/8" diameter S500 spiral balances for non-tilt windows. You'll need to measure the length of the housing tube of an intact balance to choose the correct replacement. You'll also need to weigh the sash to follow the chart under the balance product description, which will tell you which color option is needed to support the sash. See the 17-012 bracket commonly used with this balance series. Take a look and thanks for posting!
