Hello,
I would recommend starting by comparing the specifications of the 10-057 ball catch to yours. We'll include the dimensions from our product page below. Take a look and let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thank you!

do you still make them with a faceplate for the ball catch side? the dimensions are correct but my ball catch is in a faceplate that is 2-1/8x7/8" and the top of the door is recessed in order to mount it flush. I do not see what holds the catch in place (gravity, I guess!). So do I deduce that the industry has gone away from the faceplate and as long as the ball catch fits the existing drill hole and the strike is good, I just need the ball catch cylinder assembly? if so, do you sell it without the strikeplate so that does not end up in a landfill?

Unfortunately, we do not carry a version of the 10-057 that installs using the faceplate. The ball catch is intended to install in a pre-made cutout. We apologize for the inconvenience but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
