Barricade Tilt Window Sash Replacement

A home owner from St. Louis says:
Have a Barricade window that no longer stays open. I think the cylinder (pictured) has gone bad. It is 23" long when closed, then when the spiral screw is let out it is 45 3/4 inches long. Let me know if you any additional info for the part. Thanks!

If the white tube measures 23", this is an S600-23 or an S900-23 spiral balance. You can tell the difference based on the diameter of the tube. S600-23 has a 5/8" diameter, but the S900-23 only measures 3/8".

The last step is to determine the tip color by removing and weighing the window sash. Compare the weight to the chart on the webpage for either S600-23 or S900-23.
