I need a replacement track for a Benning sliding door 6 foot. The door is about 40 years old and works great when I put a track cap on the old track but it doesn't last but a year then I need to replace it again. Think I should replace the entire track if there is something available.

You could have some serious gaps or dips in your existing track. I know of one contractor who uses epoxy to fill in the gaps before he would install the new track cover. That can get messy, though. You could possibly cut off your old track rail and install the 80-106. That might be the answer.

Seeing as how this door is 40 years old, how are the rollers? Sometimes the bearing freezes, which in turn causes the track to wear out. To answer your question, we don't sell a complete door track. We do sell the 80-102 stainless steel track cover. We also sell the replacement rail Dave mentioned, the 80-106. Like he said, it would require you to cut off original rail to install.

How would you recommend cutting off original rail?

Personally, I would recommend a cold chisel and hammer.
