Better Bilt Spiral Balances

Quick Learner from Dyersburg, Tenbn
I need to order two black tip spiral balances for a better bilt window. I will also need a tension tool item 75006. The vinyl casing is 35 inches long and the windows were installed in 1994. One observation, they each have a different tip but basically the same on the end of the tip. Please let me know if you need any additional info.

Hello!

What is the diameter of the outer tube? We only have two options for tilt window spiral balances: our Series 600 and Series 900. If the outer tube of the balance is 5/8", then we recommend our Series 600. If it's 3/8", we recommend our Series 900. You'll also need a black tip option.

If you need the spiral balance charging tool, please see our 75-006.

If you have any further questions please let us know.

The diameter looks to me to be 1/2 inch.

Can you double check that measurement for me? I think you may have our Series 600 tilt window balance. The tube's diameter will actually measure 9/16", but it is considered 5/8" in the trade.

Hi Emily,

I rechecked and apparently I measured the end with the screw hole and it had slightly elongated. The correct diameter is 1/2 inch. Please see photo attached. I really appreciate your help with this matter.

Hey, Mart.

If you'd like some peace of mind, you can view our return policy here. However, I feel very confident that this is a match to our Series 600

OK. Do you provide me the order numbers to use on your site? I would appreciate it so I know I am getting the right item.
