Better Replacement for Jeld-wen sliding door handle

I have bought a Jeld Wen replacement door handle twice: Premium Vinyl Patio Door Interior Handle (Left Hand) Replacement Kit 0740-LWH.

The thumb lock keeps breaking. Do you have a replacement part that is made of stronger material?

Hello! It looks like you might just need the thumb lever. If so, then our 82-107 would be my top pick.

They unfortunately don't make this in any kind of different material, stronger or otherwise. These are meant to last for many years, so if yours keeps breaking then odds are the issue is with something else. If I were you, I'd look into the condition of the mortise lock to ensure it's operating as it should. If the mortise is in poor condition then it would absolutely cause the thumb lever to break before it ought to.
