Better sliding door lock

A handy person from 13716 N Wildflower Rd, Chillicothe, IL, 61523, USA says:
Help. We have this 1980s sliding door lock that kinda works. Is there a better, more secure handle/latch combo?

You all were terrific help with my windows. I looked like a total hero with the right replacement parts!

Hello,

I'm glad that we've been able to assist you in the past. We do carry replacements for your assembly, our 82-002 or 82-002K keyed handle set, but there are no other styles of handle sets that will work as a replacement for your current hardware. Your handle installs in a rectangular cutout in the door, which will leave a gaping hole in the door if you try to use any more standard replacements.
