Bifold door floor track and pin replacement parts
I'd be happy to help you find the parts you need, but I'm having a hard time making out the pins in these photos. Would it be possible to see each unique assembly removed from the door and shown without obstruction? Can you also tell me the diameter of each one? Lastly, would you happen to know who made the door?
The photo with red circles shows slightly different pins. Don't know which is correct or if one is broken or what. Thanks for any help.
Thank you for these photos. It's difficult to tell from these photos, but it looks like you might have the old Float-A-Way bifold closet door system. These parts are unfortunately not made anymore. Please give us a little time to see if there is a modern alternative available and we'll get back to you ASAP.
Hey there, maybe I can help. I'm very familiar with this closet door system. Tom is quite right: you have the old Float-A-Way bifold door. Replacement parts for this application are largely unavailable these days, but I do have an idea of what you can do instead.
I suggest converting over to the Slimfold door pins. Note that you will need to replace both the top and bottom tracks along with the pins. I pulled up a list of parts you will need, which you can see on this page.
What I would do is repair one set of doors with a pair of tracks (either 21-401 or 21-403, depending on size), one 21-001 bottom adjusting pin and three 21-007 spring loaded pins per panel. You will also need two 21-277 bumpers and, if the old bushings are worn and unusable, either the 21-152 or 21-153.
Yes, I think the Slimfold parts will get your door operational again as long as you don't mind doing a little handiwork. Just note that these parts aren't technically made to work on your door, so in a worst case scenario you should expect to have to make some creative retrofits as you install them. There is always a little risk involved when using non-standard parts in a repair project like this. If you aren't handy, you may want the help of a local professional to do it for you.
All orders can be placed on our site at your convenience. Just make sure to measure the opening first so that you know what size track you need.
