The plastic cap on part No 21-072 is too wide for the slide slot. The original hinge cap on the left is about 1/8" smaller in diameter than the new guide pin on the right.

Your bi-fold pin looks to be 5/16" thick with a 3/8" nylon cap, so consider the 21-016 as a replacement. If you need a spring, see the 21-252 and 21-156 push nut.
