I think it's called a block & tackle balance.
It's the spring bar mechanism on the sides of my windows; to be able to pull up and down smoothly. I'll need 10 ( for 5 windows)
Pictures attached with the weight of the windows; all about 30 lbs/each.
The markings on the bar say:
33 5 60 Caldwell.
