Block and tackle channel

Quick Learner from Los Angeles area
Hello I have an aluminum double-hung window off its spring. The part in photos is 27" overall including plastic ends (25 1/2" metal channel only) the channel is 9/16". It has tabbed ends with outward facing "wings" and it is marked 25 4 and a stamp that looks to read "3.S.I - PA.

Hope you can help! Thanks!!

Hello, thank you for posting,

We can supply your replacement balances but it will need to be a custom order due to the length, extended travel pulley system and unique combination of end attachments.

To further review, can we see an additional image of the side profile of the bottom shoe without the measuring tape. We need to confirm the overall style.

Please double check the length of the metal channel excluding the nylon attachments, it should measure 25-5/8" based on the stamp on the balance.

Also confirm how many balances are needed and I can send over an order link. For custom orders there is a minimum of (2).

Thank you Lauren I really appreciate you guidance. Photos are included of both ends front and side. Yes you are correct the metal channel excluding the nylon ends is actually 25-5/8" sorry I had mis-measured that.

By the way I weighed the window with a rather accurate commercial scale and it is 25 Lbs (25.01 to be exact).

As to quantity- I need three assemblies. Many thanks!

Thank you for the additional information,

Your original 25-4 stamp can support a 18-24 pound sash. A 25 pound sash would fall into the 25-5 stamp range of 24-30 pounds.

Did you find that the sash fell/sagged at all when opened? It is up to you if you would like to stick with the original stamp option if the window worked well or switch to the 25-5 stamp option. Please note these balances will be nonrefundable due to the custom order.

We can supply 3 balances, but we recommend replacing in pairs as pairing a new balance with an older balance can cause the new balance to wear out faster.

I apologize for the back and forth, but we want to make sure everything is correct before going through with an order.

Please let me know how you would like to move forward and I can send over an order link with pricing for your review.
