Block and tackle window balance

Home Owner from West Sacramento, CA
Hello. This morning, while closing a double-hung window in my home, this balance came falling out. There is no stamp on it indicating the length or weight, but the metal part is 27" long. I have no idea what brand of window it is, there are no identifying markings, but I am the original owner of the house and it was built in 2008, if that's helpful. The size of entire window opening is 34" x 58". I would like to replace both of the balances. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for writing in! This balance appears to be either the S380-27 or the S385-27. To determine which series you have, you'll need to confirm the depth of your bottom shoe.

Since your balance does not have a stamp, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash to confirm the stamp option your replacements should have. Unfortunately, the size of the window frame does not account for the weight of the material and the weight of the glass panes.

There is a chart below the product description of both balances that lists the weight range each stamp option can support.
