Block and tackle window balances

Question

Hello, I originally thought I needed a 30" Series 385 Channel Balance to replace my old components. But upon closer inspection the Series 385 "wings" sit flush against the metal, while mine have a little bit of space between the metal and and wings as pictured. Aside from that I know my metal channel should be 1/2" and 29-4/2940 thanks to the stamp. I just need help on the top and bottom fittings. Thank you!

Hey there. We sometimes come across some channel balances with weird attachments, but in this case I think it's just aesthetic and shouldn't affect performance. Just ensure the shoe depth is 1-3/32", as shown below. If so, the S385-30 should work fine for you.
