Bolts are short for 88-013 Handle

A quick learner from New York says:

I have a sliding door interior handle for which the bolts have loosened and become disengaged. When I try to reinsert and tighten the bolts are not reaching. The bolts have their thread. Candidly I am mystified as to why this is happening and I don't want to order replacement bolts if they are not going to work. What's your advice? Thanks!

Hello, thank you for writing in. The 33-109B bolt is 2" long. You may want to check the thickness of your door to see if that may be the issue.
