Bottom guide on my bypass mirrored closet door-need to order please

Handy Person from Washington DC

Please see the below attached photo of the bottom guide on my bypass mirrored closet door.

The guide is broken and I need to replace it. Can you please give me the part number and where I can obtain it?

Thank you in advance for your prompt attention.

Hello, Bernadette. Your exact roller isn't made anymore, but the manufacturer specifically made the 23-041 to replace it. Look it over and see what you think. I'm very confident you can use this as a replacement.

Thank you. Are you going to send the part 23?041 to me as was communicated in a previous email?

Tom, Can you please call me to discuss?

My handyman says this is a guide on the bottom and didn't describe it as a roller. Unfortunately I'm 2000 miles away right now and not able to assess the situation myself. The picture I sent does not seem to include a roller and that would have me also suspicious about the Recommended part.

Can I send back the part if it is incorrect? Also my understanding was that this part would be free as reportedly it is a life of product warranty???

Hello again! I couldn't find any other email from you in our records. Are you sure you were talking to us? We wouldn't make that kind of guarantee; you see, we aren't able to honor the warranties of other companies. If your door has a warranty, you should absolutely contact the company who originally supplied it. Otherwise, you can purchase it directly from our site.

As for your original part, I don't see a wheel in your photo either but I assume it fell off. I don't think Stanley ever designed this without one. I suppose it's possible they made some strange offshoot that way, but I don't know how such a part would function with no wheel. I'm afraid that's not something we can really predict.

I feel pretty certain that the 23-041 is what you want. Here are a couple of older discussions from other customers who have the same part you have now. They all have wheels.

These are just random examples I found on a cursory search on our site. We have dozens and dozens of other customers who had this same part with a blue flag and it had a wheel each and every time. That said, the only way you can be 100% sure is to have your own roller in hand. Maybe you do have a specific unique part with no wheel. I can't say for sure, but stranger things have happened in this industry.
