Bottom spindle on sash that slots into support receiver in frame. This is a double hung window. Bars on both sides are snapped off.

Hello there. This is called a pivot bar. Without seeing an undamaged version removed from the window I can't be 100% sure, but Bryn Mawr windows have been associated with an old Certainteed pivot bar that looks similar. It can be replaced with the 26-175. Take a look and let me know what you think.
