Hello, our client wants to replace this cover and handle with something more modern perhaps foldable. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Hello,

Your operator resembles the 39-187 but with a much longer link arm. I'm afraid we don't have a version with a longer arm but if a new handle is all you need, take a look at the 39-205 folding handle. Unforutnately, the cover is not designed to be removed and would not work with a different style.

If you determine that you do need to replace the entire assembly, the first option would be to see if you could adjust the location of the bracket on the sash to make up for the difference in arm length.

If not, you'll have to swap the arms. You can do this by drilling the old and new arms off, then installing the old arm on the new operator with our 62-014 rivet. This can be installed by hammering it in place over a metal plate. Take a look and see what you think. Thank you!
