Broken, window will not stay open

A home owner from Matt says:

Hello. I have a home built in 2007 and have 4 windows now that will not stay open all due to broken weights. The one pictured is 1/2"wide and 30" long and that is from end to end on the metal.

Sincerely Matt

Window guy at home depot told me about your qebsite.

I meant what options do I get. All different models and options. Which one do I choose?

Hi Matt,

We'd be happy to help but wel need to see the balance removed from the window to narrow down your replacement options. Primarily, the top and bottom nylon attachments are what we use to identify the correct replacement. We'll also need to know the stamp number printed on the back of the metal channel to help you choose the correct spring strength option. Thank you!

A home owner from Matt says:
Thank you for the response back. The stamp on the balance is 29 4BSI TE.

I'm looking to replace all the balances in my house.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the reply. See our S380-30 or S385-30. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon fitting, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. You will need a stamp option of 2940. Thank you!
