Broken Almond colored Thumbturn latch

Hello, could these white thumbturn latches be painted to match my almond colored door handles?

I don't think painting these is so easy, unfortunately. They have a glossy finish that you'd have to sand off first. I personally find that to be a hassle, but you may disagree.
