Broken Balancer Needs a Replacement

Home Owner from Broomfield, CO

Hi,

Balancer was taken from a Milgard window presumed to be 17 years old.

Pictures attached show details of the "good", or working balancer.

Top and bottom ends and underside detail is shown for the that balancer.

A number printed on the top side reads: 26 5 EW CMC 11

The bad balancer's pulley "rope" was broken....and that led to the breaking of the bottom nylon end of the balancer.

So, I will need 2 balancers judging by the tip that both balancers should be replaced if one goes out.

Thanks,

Rich

Hey Rich. This looks like either an S380-27 or S385-27, depending on the bottom nylon shoe depth, or 'heel-to-toe' measurement. Compare both balances with your old hardware to see what matches best. In either case, you're going to need to pick a stamp option of 2650.
