Broken Cranks on casement windows.

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like your operator is stripped. We'd be happy to help identify it. Can you open the window and show us a clear shot of the arms that move the sash? 

I'm not sure what metal plate you're referring to, unfortunately.  If the window is unlocked, you should be able to slowly push it open. We can also use an identical window as a reference if you have one.
