The 6-sided socket broke off the end of the handle that fit in the crank housing.

Thanks for writing in. Looks like you might need a new male hex crank handle. Confirm that the hex on your handle has a diameter is 5/16" across. If so, see our 39-226. Take a look and let us know if you think this is what you need.
