Broken Pivot Shoe

Handy Person from Essex Ontario Canada
Hello,
We discovered a broken pivot shoe on one of double hung windows.
The bottom piece that retains the balance spring in the middle slot of the pivot shoe is broken so it keeps slipping out.
From my measurements it looks like we need a pivot shoe that is 5/8 deep x 1 1/4" wide and 2" tall. Would the 15-047 be a suitable replacement?

I noticed in the balance replacement video that the balance rod was inserted in the angled slot rather than the center slot on the pivot shoe...can I do this also on my broken shoe? Should both sides of the window be in the angled slots if I do this? Wouldn't the balance rod pull better from the middle slot?

Any information would be much appreciated!

Regards,
Keith

Based on your pictures and dimensions, I agree that our 15-047 looks like a good match. As for which slot to use during installation, it doesn't really matter. Some manufacturers find it easier to put it in the slide slots, but if you think the center slot is easier to deal with then there's no reason to switch it up.
