Broken Sash Cord

Hi there,

I have a customer that reached out about replacing the sash cord on the windows seen in attached picture. Hoping to get some guidance on the parts needed to repair.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we can't determine if we can supply the balances connected to the pulley cord with it still installed. If you can remove the balance assembly from the window, that will help us determine what you need and if it is still available.

If you're working on Andersen windows, we do offer a selection of sash balances for them but we would need to know the numbers stamped on the housing to determine the correct replacement.

It is also possible that you have overhead channel balances. If that is the case, unfortunately, that is not something that we can supply. In either case, feel free to get back to us with additional photos to confirm. Thank you.
