Broken balancer parts

Question

Photo 2615 is the broken part that fell out when I took bottom window out. The balancer has a blue/turquoise tip on it, 3/8 diameter. The spiral rod stilll has tension but the part it hooks onto, I believe, is what broke. I'm trying to figure out what part(s) I need to replace and how to do it.

Thanks for posting. Yes, it looks like you need a new pivot shoe and also a new pivot bar, the metal pin that connects the shoe to the window sash. For the shoe, I think it's either the 15-178 or 15-188, depending on the thickness of your old shoe. Remove your old shoe and measure the thickness to see what matches best. The video below shows how to remove and replace shoes via the 'cutout' method.

The pivot bar might be the 26-226. Compare with an undamaged one to confirm.
