These were on a 2009 window install, Simonton aluminum.

I believe you can use our 15-192 pivot shoe and Series 170 coil spring to replace your old parts. Look them over and let me know if you agree.

This is perfect! Now I just need to know the coil spring size/strength. I took a photo of the window sticker. Any ideas? Thank you!!

That sticker doesn't tell me anything, unfortunately. You should be able to use the stamp printed on the original springs to determine the best Series 170 for the job. If there is no stamp, or if they're too worn to make out, then I need to know the exact weight of your sash so that we can calculate the proper strength.

Okay! I weighed the bottom window and it is 17.4 lb. So the 409's should do the trick, right?

The top window also is missing whatever keeps it up. What would you recommend for that?

THANK YOU!!!!

Yep, if your sash is 17.4 pounds then the 9 pound spring on each side should be perfectly fine.

As for the top sash, that is also held up by balances. It's probably the same type you have for the bottom sash, though if the top sash is a different size then it may need different strength springs.
