Broken bottom hinge part number 30905

Home Owner from South Portland, ME

Hello, the bottom hinge is broken and the window does not crank properly. I ned to keep the window closed =. it is a left side window and the window opens right to left. The base of the hinge is 9.5 inches long. What is the best way to go about fixing this?

Thanks, Pete

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we would need to see photos of your original hinge to determine what might work for you. Is there another window in the house that uses the same hardware? If so, please open the window to show us the hinge assembly and we can go from there. Thank you!

The problem I believe is on the bottom hinge. The small black attachment at the end of the arm is broken and won't stay in place when I turn the window crank. I hope these pictures are helpful. The bottom hinge picture shows the "Truth" stamp with part number 30906. Let me know if a better picture is needed.

Thanks for getting back to us. Your hinge assembly resembles the 10" long 36-048 set but, unfortunately, the plastic track slide is not available separately. In these cases, we recommend replacing both the top and bottom hinges at the same time so that the sash has equal support on both ends.
