Broken bracket on basic Menards storm window door
My project is with a pretty basic midview storm door. I replaced all of our old latches in our windows a couple years ago with your company's items and it worked great!
This door has 4 crimp points to hold the piece in place so is it still easy to replace? Or does that make it more complicated? The piece is metal I don't see any markings on it. See photo for measurement.
Thanks so much for these photos. Those crimp points do complicate this project somewhat, yes. They will need to be drilled out in order to release the corner from the frame. We actually have a video guide that walks you through this process, which I'll share below.
I am not sure what those corner keys may be, unfortunately. That would depend on the size and design of the legs, which is only something you can determine after they're removed.
What I can do is link you to our full section, which is here. We have detailed dimensions for each product in our inventory that you can use as a reference. However it's important to note that our inventory is far from exhaustive; storm windows aren't really made anymore, so corners like these are getting difficult to get a hold of. There is a chance we don't sell a replacement that would work, but you won't know until you remove and measure the original.
