I have a broken coil balance on one side of a window. Not sure what is the correct replacement part for it. Its width is 1/2" and the window length is approximately 29". Also, do I just replace the coil balance? Or the complete assembly?
Thanks,
Albert

The pivot shoe looks like our 15-180, along with the 15-186 Balance Clip and 15-182 Bushing. This system uses our Series 190 Coil Balances. If the other components are undamaged, you certainly would be all right just replacing the coil springs. Look for a stamp number on the coil that tells you what spring weight you need. If there is none, or you are uncertain, obtain the exact weight of your window sash. Give us that exact weight, and we'll work out what you need.

In that case, see our S190-840, which is for 8 lbs of support. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Good. The stamp on the coil is 832. Thanks.
