No mfg number on window or spring. Didn't want to remove until I know I have replacement in hand. If I have to remove first, I could.

Hey there!

I recommend the 15-087 which uses the Series 180 coil springs. We also sell the 15-086 coil housing. You'll have to check the coil's tongue for a stamped weight code.

Thanks for the input. I want to mention that the window weighs in at 40 pounds. Can you suggest which combination of springs I would use in the triple spring constant pressure assembly. Can I still use the housings you recommended.

Yes, you can use the 15-087 and 15-086. If the window weighs 40 pounds, you could use two S180-10 10-pound springs on each side of the window. Switching to a double spring setup will be fine so long as the coil weights total within a pound of the sash's actual weight.
