Broken handle

Your handle actually looks to be in good condition still. What broke is your operator; that worm gear is not meant to come out like it has. That means your gears are stripped, which means you need a new operator entirely.

We can help, but I need a clear photo of your operator fully removed from the window. That way I can see the whole mechanism.

If so, it's possible that yours is stripped out, or otherwise broken in some way, and will need to be replaced.
