Broken latch

Question

The latch on our sliding Anderson door is broken. The receiving side of the latch slides down (see pic #1 compared to pic #2) and does not allow the door to latch properly. How do we fix this?

It sounds like you need a new latch. I recommend the 82-037, which is specifically Andesen brand and looks like a great match for what you have installed now. Check it out and let me know if you agree.
