Broken locking mechanism on sliding glass door

Quick Learner from Redding, CA
The locking mechanism that is used to lock and unlock the door, one of its two tabs broke off. There should be a second, longer tab to the left of the one shown above. I could not find information about the door manufacturer. It was installed 11 years ago. Following is the only information I could find on a decal on the inside of the door frame: CAR# 373-113; Model # 5500 Series STD Stile SGD; Rating SGD R45; 1829x2032. I suspect I will need to buy a complete new door handle with the new locking device in place. If it is possible to just get the locking tab, that would be OK too.

The thumb lever looks like our 82-107. Look it over and see if you agree. You may want to make sure the mortise lock isn't broken. To determine this, remove the handle set and try manually throwing the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, then you also need a new mortise lock. Send us pictures of it and we will do our best to help.
