On the metal frame that the spring is in it has a number j. 36tg on it
The instruction paper in the channel says K & K. Our home is 25 years old. Any help would surely be appreciated

Hello,

We can't be sure based on a damaged part but your photo resembles the 15-233 locking terminal, which we can attach to the S751-27 channel balance through a custom order. It looks like a few of your photos didn't come through, so I would recommend getting back to us with photos of the balance channel top to confirm how yours installs. We'll also need to confirm that the metal channel measures exactly 37" and the number of balances you need, with the minimum being two. Thank you!

I measured and it measures exactly 37". I will take another picture of the channel. Thanks
