Broken storm door lock

Quick Learner from Raleigh, NC

My storm door lock/ handle mechanism broke and I have not been able to track down replacement part(s) locally

It is potentially about 45-46 years old with consideration of age of my house.

On inside latch, I could make out your Wartian company name and "pat pend(ing)then:

DBL 1100-6

Can you tell me how to go about getting a replacement?

I am happy to send photos if this identifying info is not sufficient.

Thanks so much,

Michelle

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see photos of your handle set and mortise lock to compare to our inventory. Please also provide written out dimensions, including the hole spacing for both pieces. That will help us confirm if suitable replacements are available. Thank you!

Thank you, Casey, for your assistance. I am including photos showing measurements of holes and lock pieces. I also listed below:
1. 3 lock holes on actual door, slightly over 2 inches from top to bottom and 9/16 inch between the holes

2. Inner latch is 3 inches in width and nearly 2 1/4 in height

3.outer handle is 1 1/2 in at base and handle extends to width of 5 inches

Warm regards,
Michelle

Thanks for getting back to us. We often recommend the 40-177 handle and deadbolt set to replace old-style storm door handle sets like yours. Take a look and see how the dimensions compare to confirm if this will work for your repair. Note that the hole spacing is measured between the center of the top and bottom mounting holes.
