Broken tilt latches

Question

The tilt latches for 1 of my windows is broken (both sides). One of the little tabs has broken off. I found a "7A" number on it. Also a Pat.#5,139,291 number on the latch. Is there a right & left side for these tilt latches? I would like to order 2 sets, if possible as I have another window to repair.

2 other questions:

1. What is the type of screening used? It appears to be a black, fiberglass material.

2. Is there a weatherstripping spec for your windows I could view? The last pic shows a tab that has shifted.

The house was built in 2003. We purchased it in 2021.

We can't be sure of what you need based on a damaged tilt latch but the 26-243 and 26-244 would be a good place to start. Review the specifications below to see how they compare to an intact latch from one of your windows.

As for the screen material, we have no way of knowing what type your window uses, but you're welcome to look through our selection here.

As for the wool pile, you'll need to remove a piece from your window to compare the backing width and pile height to our selection here. Thank you!
