Broken top sash guides. Do I need new balances?

I need to replace a bunch of 18-166 Kimco Top Sash Guides. The channel balances them selves look okay, but since they have broken the top sash guides, do I need to replace the channel balances too or can I just lubricate them somehow to prevent busting again in the future?

If balances still work, just replace top sash guides (18-166). The top guides might have broken from fatigue.
