Hi,

I'd like to replace the "spring" part in the window. It came out of its case and unraveled on three "coils". I'd like to buy a few of these in case.

Can you recommend a replacement part and video?

Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. Before we ID the coils, we must first ID the pivot shoe. Can you remove it from the window and show us some photos? That should be located below the coils so removing the window sash will be necessary. See the video below regarding removal.

Thanks for the additional photos! From what I can see in the photos, I believe the shoe you'll need is the 15-140 Coil Balance Shoe; although, you'll need to remove and compare the dimensions to confirm.

This shoe is compatible with the 1/2" wide Series 150 Coil Balance. To determine the correct coils to use for your assemblies, you'll need to look for any stamps/markings on them. If there aren't any stamps/markings you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash and divide that by the total number of coils in the window.

You may also need the 15-143 Coil Bushing, 15-144 Coil Bushing Cap, and 15-145 Coil Support Barrel.
