Broken window balance

A home owner from Corinth, TX says:
I have a 2830 block and tackle window balance that is broken. Photo Window 1 is opposite side of damaged balance. It is the correct configuration. Window 3 represents the broken side - as you can see the tube is broken and the "cap" is destroyed.

Window 2 is a replacement we purchased for the 2830 but arrived with no "caps". Photo Window 4 and Window 5 are close-up images of the ends of the new balance.

Please research your inventory and hopefully find the correct replacement and all necessary parts.

Thanks for contacting us. I'm afraid I cannot quite make out what Series balance it is you have. The stamp only tells us how strong the spring is. Capitol often uses our Series 370 channel balance, but you will need to carefully look it over and see how well it matches up. Without the end "caps," we cannot be 100% sure that this balance is what you have.
