Broken Coil Balances for Windows

Question

I'm not sure how to remove this, so I took pictures in the window. The window will not stay up, so it looks like the window balance spring is broken. It's a double hung bedroom window. I'm not sure which window balance spring to buy- how many pounds. Would you please advise? The patent I can see is 5.232.508 and 5.365.638.

Thanks for posting. I'm very confident we can supply these coil balance parts you need, but before we can make a recommendation we need to see the pivot shoe that these coil balances connect to. The identity of the pivot shoe determines the identity of the coil balances. From there, we should be able to tell you precisely what you need.
