Broken window lock

Home Owner from Richfield, MN
Hello,
Got two broken window locks that need repairing. Unfortunately I don't know the brand of windows. I suspect they are the wabash vistarama? Any thoughts/ideas? First photo shows the intact lock whereas second photo shows the broken handle.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this exact style of lock. I'm also not sure what a wabash vistarama is. I'm reminded of an older version of our Truth brand 38-098. This may be what you need, but if so then you'll also need a new keeper since the new lock won't work with the old one. I recommend our 38-079.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your reply. What I found that fits is a casement sash lock with 4 screw holes 2-3/8 inch (the 2 screw hole locks don't work).

I do need a new keeper though, as the existing does not close the window. Any advise on the keeper?

The Home Guard sash lock has the following dimensions and is made by Truth with p/n 32799A and also has 40707 as numbers in the frame if that helps:

Overall Height: 2-15/16 inch

Width: 2-9/16 inch

Hole center spacing: 2-3/8 inch (4 screw holes)

Projection - 1-3/16''

Yep, I still recommend our 38-079. This should work well with the replacement 38-098
