Brown latch and hook part

Question

The lock broke off and so did the plastic mortise latch. I've noticed that other motels have a metal mortise latch. Is this compatible?  Looking for replacement parts to fix.

I would recommend starting by reviewing the 82-030 handle set with 3-15/16" hole spacing, as well as the 82-226 mortise lock. Take a look and compare the dimensions below to your original hardware to confirm that they will work for your application. Thank you!
