C2845 Block and Tackle Balance

Home Owner from Riverview Fl

Trying to order proper Block and tackle Balance for single hung tilt out window. Actual Balance dimension is 29" long, 9/16" wide, and 1/2" deep. Dimension has to be exact as it tucks partially into frame requiring the depth to be correct. I ordered others that were listed as 1/2" deep but were actually deeper and would not fit.

Balance is white and stamped ID is "r C2845" appears the 1st character a lowercase "r" preceding the stamped number.

Thanks,

John

Hi, John. Our experts think you have an S770-29 balance. You can quickly review that part to make sure it matches. You'll need to weigh the window sash to choose a "stamp option," which is a secondary kind of feature that you need in order to finish the order. The product description contains directions about this.

By the way, I have to say, the F holes on your guitar are awesome. Is that a resonator or just a hollow body acoustic?

It's a resonator. A great slide guitar, that is for sale by the way. $450 if interested

The depth of the balance seems to be a 32nd inch larger from 1/2 inch. All these on line are calling it the 1/2". However in this window it tucks inside the frame partially and needs to be exactly 1/2" in depth.

Ah, that's what I thought. The guitar looks lovely, at least from what I've seen. Wish I were in the market for one!

Our researchers believe that the company that made your tilt balance went out of business. You can use our Series 770, where the balance channel is 9/16" wide by 1/2" deep, so it will fit in your track.

We believe you can order S770-29 with a spring weight 29D, for a sash weighing between 23 and 28 pounds.
