CAVCO Custom Gard Window Weatherstripping

Part 58-022; white wool 9/32 x 9/32 weatherstripping

This part appears to be what I need. I have 25 year old windows - on some of them the weatherstripping on the inside of the bottom sill have broken or come out of the track. Because the lower sill is a fixed part of the window frame and can not be removed, I cannot access it from the side or see any way to insert replacement weatherstripping into the slot. Is there a way to insert the weatherstripping?

Greetings -

This comes up from time to time. It's possible that the end of your rails could be sealed. If this is the case, you'll need to make a slot using a straight-edge razor to be able to slide in the 58-022. Let me know if you need any further clarification.

Part arrived today. I cut slots and installed the replacement weather stripping. Perfect solution. Thank you.
